Therefore, the career center can be unhelpful if you are looking at other markets, other than DC, NYC, or Philadelphia. Would You Recommend Yes "GW Law Grad" Uppers GW Law has a strong international law program and most of the faculty are top notch. Downers There is no focus on career development for jobs outside of Biglaw. Because of this, the Career Development Office (which has a ton of advisers who don't appear to do much) does not have any contacts with organizations that do good public service work. This will really affect your ability to land a public service job. Comments I would make sure you reach out to members of school faculty and clinics that specialize in areas of interest to you to get a better idea of how their future initiatives and ideas may align with your own. Would You Recommend Yes "Great for IP Law" Uppers Regular seminars and talks on patent and other IP law, teachers who are respected scholars in the field, and connections to get jobs at great local firms. So many IP classes you could take nothing but for the last two years if you wanted.

Comments Pace Law lies about every positive thing it tries to sell students on about this school. I urge you, as someone with experience with this school, you want to stay far away from this school. If you have high aspirations and you want a quality education, Pace is not the school to settle for. Would You Recommend No "Great Environmental Law School" Uppers The schools offers tons of environmental law classes, an awesome environmental litigation clinic, and an environmental law review. Downers It felt like unless you are the top of the class, the school doesn't actively help students with job placement. Comments If you want to practice environmental law, pace is an awesome school to start your career. Would You Recommend Yes "Great Law Program" Uppers Faculty and instructors are great. Very approachable. Great environmental law program. The school has a federal internship program which is great - students can intern at the SDNY with a judge for a semester. Downers Wish there were more clinic options.

This shows in every aspect. The can hardly be considered a living space. In winter you freeze to death because the roof does not have insulation. Only one floor has acceptable bathrooms. The bathrooms on all other floors are disgusting and need to be completely redone. There is only one kitchen which is in the basement and is really filthy. I'd recommend tearing the building down completely and redoing it. The professors are good but the admin staff is rude and impolite (apart from some exceptions) treating the students like criminals and an annoyance. For the money you pay at Pace you would accept a way better service. Students that want to transfer are pressured into staying. Career services does not take your personal aspirations into account at all and is unhelpful in every aspect unless you want to hear about all the jobs you allegedly cannot get. This starts already in your first semester. The library was pretty much the only working department but they let many of the staff go. Pace law focuses mainly on environmental law and puts all the money in this department which is why the others have to suffer.

Skip to Main Content Overall School Rating 3 out of 5 Stars "Good" Uppers Faculty is very kind, lots of course offerings, I like it here. Downers The high student to faculty ratio. I think learning in a lecture hall with 60 other ppl is difficult- it makes me feel less inclined to raise my hand, ask questions, engage with the Professor, because I am generally shy and don't want to "bother" ppl. I think learning environments are better when they are smaller- 10-12 students max in a classroom. I do understand though that fiscally that might not be very feasible especially with 1L classes. Comments Look at other schools with low student to teacher ratios. And definitely don't consider law school without a scholarship. I would never attend if I had to pay full price. Choose a different career. Would You Recommend No "Not recommendable! " Uppers Mostly good and smart professors. The campus is nice. The cafeteria staff is super nice and the food is good most of the time. Downers For some reason the school is in deep financial trouble which I hardly understand considering the excessive tuition, dorm rent etc.

The cost of living in White Plains is climbing steadily, but the city is so centrally located that commuting options are virtually unlimited. Admissions Pace uses a unique application process that involves essay questions and a cycle of interviews after initial evaluations. The focus is on building a diverse yet cohesive student body with strengths that go beyond raw scores. Level 1 Graduation Year 2012 "" Uppers Downers Would You Recommend Academics Quality of Life Admissions Level Graduation Year

Definently do not go to this school if you want to work in the private sector. Comments If you cannot get into any other school transfer out. Would You Recommend No "NEVER COME HERE" Uppers The Professors are great. They're all really intelligent and are willing to help their students Downers EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS. From Dannat Hall (this bug infested, unheated in 20 degree weather, sad and decrepit excuse for a living space) to the administrative staff to job prospects. Pace Law could not care less about its students. The Deans are useless; their job titles are just that and nothing more, and they will do 0% for the students. The lower staff are even worse somehow. They threaten top students that want to transfer out. Get as far away from Pace Law as you can. Maybe if the staff, starting with the Deans, cared a little more, and better prepared its students for the bar exam, their rankings could be higher. Don't come to this school just because you want to do environmental law. You might change your mind and find yourself stuck at a dead end school that was about to be closed.

Each set is about 30, 000 words, so the gap is 700, 000 words. In 2011, I wrote explanations for preptests 19-38. Then in 2012, I wrote explanations for preptest 68 onwards. In 2013 I extended this backwards to LSAT preptest 62. So there's currently a gap in explanations. I haven't written anything for 39-61. I hope to do this eventually, starting with 52-61. But I have no timeline for this, as LSAT explanations take quite a while to write. How often do you release new tests? I usually release the new LSAT explanations about 1-2 weeks after the test comes out. Older tests don't follow a set pattern – explanations take a while to write. What are you working on right now? I've been working on the LSAT mastery seminars. Next, I'm going to go through tests 79 and 80 and record myself doing them timed without having seen them before. That's why new explanations are on hold – I need to preserve the fresh material. Once those videos are done, I'll be making explantions for 78-80, and returning to a regular posting schedule.

Comments Pick a different school. If you want to be in DC, take the LSAT again to get off the waitlist and into Georgetown or go to American. If you aren't bound by location, go to a comparatively ranked school in another city. You'll thank yourself! Would You Recommend No "Excellent School to Find Legal Niche" Uppers Variety of coursework, professors are leaders in their field. Great nationwide alumni network. Downers Career center was not always very helpful. Facilities are older, so limited space to study. Comments I recommend GW Law if you think you want to be involved in any type of regulated industry - healthcare, energy, telecom, food and drugs, etc. or want to do administrative law. GW has a plethora of classes for these regulated industries and is heavy on national security law, so it's a great place to be if you know what niche you want to practice. Summer jobs and internship opportunities in DC are endless. Would You Recommend Yes "Lack of Support from Career Services" Uppers The only value they provide is free resources such as Vault and CORE.
